Intimacy to Separation - A Study of Twins
Written by Hannah Hales

"Single children begin life separate and must learn intimacy, whereas twins begin life intimate and must learn separateness".
What do twins experience? Is being a twin so different to being a single child with siblings? How have cultures in the past viewed twins? Is there truth in their perceptions? What are the influences that affect young twins? What is the bond connecting them?

Intimacy to Separation is written by a twin. It will lead you through these questions and many of the issues that twins face. It shares stories of particular twins’ lives together and apart and what their feelings are towards their twin and twinship. Included in these anecdotes are those of international rowers, Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell, together with Hannah's own twin biography. The journey of a twin from intimacy to separation has no simple explanations or answers however, this book will give you some insight into twins' lives both of the past and present.
